Who am I? I’m not sure myself…
I am Jan Loch. After a second chance at life, painting became my way of truly seeing. It is no longer a choice, but a necessity—a constant search for the extraordinary beauty hidden in the most ordinary things.
Picasso once said, “Good artists copy, great artists steal.” So, I guess I can call myself a thief.
Painting isn’t just my job – it’s how I see the world.
Every color has its own energy; every brushstroke has its meaning.
I mainly work with oil paints, which allow me to create art with real depth and emotion. My style sits somewhere between realism and abstraction – I try to capture the essence of a moment, but I’m not a slave to perfect likeness.
